GYMGUYZ Austin brings convenient mobile personal training to West Austin community
GYMGUYZ Austin ribbon cutting celebrates mobile personal training in Austin
June 30, 2026 | Austin, TX The West Austin Chamber of Commerce welcomed GYMGUYZ Austin as one of its newest members with a ribbon cutting June 30 at FUSE Workspace.
GYMGUYZ Austin provides customized personal training services designed to meet clients where they are, including at home, outdoors or another preferred location.
The event drew Chamber members, ambassadors, local business owners and community supporters who gathered despite the summer heat to celebrate the mobile personal training business and its connection to the West Austin business community.
Dena Dupuie, with The Arc of the Capital Area and an ambassador for the West Austin Chamber of Commerce, led the ceremony. She welcomed owner Ken VeArd, his wife, Melissa, and their business partner, Henry, as they bring GYMGUYZ to the Austin area.
“They’re part of an international franchise serving 1,300 cities,” Dupuie said. “GYMGUYZ delivers a white-glove personal training experience with customized programs tailored to meet each client’s goals. What makes GYMGUYZ stand out is its convenience and results without the hassle of going to a gym.”
Dupuie invited attendees to join the Chamber in welcoming GYMGUYZ Austin as one of its newest members.
Convenient personal training brings fitness directly to clients
GYMGUYZ Austin provides personal training services designed to meet clients where they are, including at home, outdoors or another preferred location. Certified trainers create customized workout programs based on each client’s goals, fitness level and needs.
The mobile model is designed to remove some of the common barriers that keep people from starting or maintaining a fitness routine. Clients do not need to travel to a gym or purchase equipment before getting started. GYMGUYZ trainers bring the equipment needed for each session and tailor workouts to the individual client.
That convenience is a key part of the company’s approach to helping people build healthier routines, whether they are beginning a fitness journey, returning to exercise or looking for more accountability.
VeArd thanked attendees for their support and joked that the warm welcome was especially fitting on a hot June evening.
“Thank you to everyone for coming out,” VeArd said. “A warm welcome is literal around here. We’re excited to be part of the Austin community and specifically the West Austin community.”
Customized fitness programs support strength, recovery and wellness
VeArd said he and Melissa started the business after deciding to leave corporate America and pursue work that allowed them to help others.
“We wanted to do something that helped,” VeArd said. “That’s what we built this company off of, and with the help of Henry, who has been a game changer for GYMGUYZ Austin, we’re bringing some of the best fitness fundamentals, foundations and results that Austin has to offer.”
GYMGUYZ Austin works with clients seeking a variety of fitness goals, including building strength, improving overall wellness and recovering from injury. The company’s trainers personalize each workout session to align with the client’s needs, progress and long-term objectives.
“I would love to work out with anyone who needs help with personal training, whether it’s getting stronger or recovering from an injury,” VeArd said. “There’s a personal training program for you.”
The company’s services are also designed for people who want a more private, flexible or personalized fitness experience than a traditional gym setting may provide. By bringing training directly to clients, GYMGUYZ Austin aims to make fitness more accessible and consistent for busy individuals, families and professionals.
